“I love who you are, love who you ain’t…”

The above words were spoken by my crush Andre 3000 in the song “So Fresh So Clean” by Outkast.

In the past I thought of these words as an excellent example of how I wanted to be viewed by my future man. I want whoever he is to accept me and love me just as I am. But, it occurred to me – why outsource this requirement? You need to display this behavior to you!

So, I encourage you and me to love who we are and love who we aren’t. Accept ourselves as we are. Truth be told if I’m not doing it why in the world should I expect someone else to?
